Good for the price. I see many people complaining that the quick release is hard to depress. Mine is the total opposite. When I insert the belt through the clip there is no ratcheting sound or action. I actually have to press the lever down for it to engage. Might be the way these are designed or my Xhtang belt is a lemon. I definitely prefer my Mission Belt over this one. Clear ratcheting sound and action. Ive had my Mission Belt for 4 years of daily use with no issues but wearing out of the leather belt. Like I said in my first sentence, the Xhtang is a decent belt for the price. But if you really want a higher quality belt, go with a Mission belt.

I bought this in December 2016 and this is April 2018. The belt slips out of the holder buckle. It looks like the end of the belt frays and loses its grip on the belt. The belt also has been unraveling in its stitching over the last 6 months. You dont really notice it much until you see more and more stitches loose. I question whether this is real leather or not. The belt doesnt just look worn in a natural way, it looks cut up and jagged as it is used. It no longer looks good at this point. I have had leather belts last for years. This wont be one of them. I wont buy this again and dont recommend that you buy it.

I am currently giving this item 4 stars, but I fear that my rating may change in the future. I just received this belt last night, and I must say that I am impressed with it for the price point, but I have a VERY sneaking suspicion that the belt itself IS NOT leather. There is one spot on the belt that has a bubble ridge, which makes me think this is actually a manmade material with some kind of overlay/covering to make it look like leather. The buckle is nice and solid, and rather substantial in size. I am impressed with the quality of the buckle, however after I began reading other reviews, I have become somewhat concerned that it will scratch/mar or fall apart soon. I will continue to use this belt and see how it holds up, and will report my findings back to this review.

Although there is a wide selection of buckles fir the belts, in my opinion most of them tend to not be all that appealing. However, these belts allow micro-adjustments. With a traditional belt with holes I found that one position causes the belt to be too loose while the next position will cause the belt to be too tight and I often find that while I need an intermediate position I end up choosing one that simply is not comfortable. Also, the belt size that one needs can easily change throughout the day and is also dependent on the clothing and or accessories used with the belt; the fact that this belt offers so many adjustment positions its almost guaranteed to fit you properly in any situation. These are not the most rugged belts however they are not flimsy either. I would say they are on par with other decent dress /semi-formal belts. I knocked off one star as the choice of buckles are a bit too radical and for most dress or semi-formal occasions I’m looking for a more “plain Jane” look.

Bought this back in January. Wore it almost every weekday since then (today is December 29th, 2017), and today one of the pins holding the buckle to the belt finally snapped. It held up fine for 11 months of daily use, but honestly I was hoping to get at least 2 years out of this belt. Maybe expecting a bit much for a sub $20 belt, but still, that was my expectation. Where the ratchet lived most of the time had some wear and and the buckle itself showed some wear, but all were acceptable for me given I wore this thing everyday. Still might pick up some more of these, as sub $20 is very reasonable for a nice looking belt, but will look at some other options first.
