Nice shoes and the wide sizes fit really well. When first wearing, the leather(?) tongue rubs against the sides and makes a noticeable squeaking sound, which gets really annoying. After about two weeks of forfeiting your ninja license, it eventually breaks in and you can walk silently. The cushioning is pretty soft, and as a daily shoe, its very good (I dont think the cushioning would be well suited for running though). Its all leather, which is nice, as most athletic shoes are a mix of that and thin fabric.The wide size is as expected. For the price, this is a great shoe.

With many foot, leg, back injuries/conditions, shoes are important. I was very happy when I tried these on as far as fit....excellent Construction....another story. I have had Sketchers many times before and like them, except for those flimsy little leather lace eyes... very weak point. My orthopedist made me a set of those horribly expensive foot molded inserts and pushed a pair of $100+ New Balance on me. Yes good shoes but like most , I walk a lot for work and am somewhat bow legged which causes outside heel to wear out before medial side. I thought if the shoe is going to wear to the point of useless in 6-7 months hard walking... find one that fits as well for less. These Sketchers fit the bill. Good fit, support, and reasonable priced. Im going to order 2 more pair next pay day and rotate them to make them last longer

Shoes fit as expected. A bit stiff initially, and the heel seems high compared to my New Balance shoes. I bought these to wear for yard work, as they were the cheapest I could find with all leather uppers that were not like the lightweight Champions I bought, which have a mesh top and hence let in moisture when the grass was wet. Still think they are a bit overpriced at $39.99. I usually buy the Costco Kirkland Brand classic court trainers (a great deal at $17.99!), but they have not been carrying them for a while, so this is what I went with. I like the New Balance better, and reserve those for my workout sneakers.

A couple of friends in cardiac rehab were wearing these, so I thought Id give them a try. After a week, I threw them into the trash and bought New Balance 608 V4s. After a couple of weeks, I noticed the other friend got rid of his also. The other friend is a smaller guy with that I outweigh by 40 pounds and Im am 7" taller (height doesnt matter -- Im just telling you Im not a butterball). Since the Sketchers were new, I did give them a break-in period, and a decent try, but didnt like the fact I could not remove the insoles to replace them with a heel lift I need, and to replace those cheap insoles (every brand has cheap insoles) with work-out style insoles. Also, I didnt like the walk of the Sketchers. Mox-nix, they werent for me.

The first thing I look for (after having some ill-fitting shoes when I was a boy), is comfort. And these shoes are comfortable. I wanted something comfortable too to walk around in when I was going on a sightseeing trip to Japan. And they look good too, so I now wear them often. I need large shoes, 10 1/2 EEE, and found that they have my size, that I happily bought. I live now in the Philippines where large-sized clothes can be particularly hard to find, so I was happy to be able to find these shoes that I could order from amazon.com Thanks--to the reviewers who rightly praised these shoes, and led to my purchase.
