Purchased these as I have worn out my Ultra Mid 2s. They dont seem to be as good of quality as the predecessor. They are definitely not as comfortable. The way they are built at the ankle doesnt seem to allow a good fit allowing my foot/ankle to move around. Ive been wearing them for about 3 weeks now pretty much on a daily basis. My feet feel very tired at the end of the day and I cant wait to get them off. The previous version did not do this and were more like an old comfortable pair of athletic shoes. Time will tell if they hold up. The lacing system has changed and Im hoping they last as long as my old ones. Not sure why Salomon needed to fix something that wasnt broken!! If I could find the old version, Id buy 10 pair!! Gave three stars b/c they do look nice and seem somewhat rugged.

Slim fit - which was great for my narrow foot. 6’1 | size 10. Highly recommend. These are winners! Super comfortable and shaped to foot with no break in time. Light. Great traction - with no foot slide on the steep downhills - and a good balance of stability (like a hiker) and flexibility (like a cross trainer). Worked great hiking in Bryce, Zion, and Grand Canyon in the summer heat and the messy rain. Water resistant Gortex a definite plus.

Whoever said these boots are lightweight never owned a pair of lightweight boots . I’m on my feet 9-10 hrs a day . These boots fell like a bag of rocks on my feet . And what is the deal with one boot fiting better then the other . The left boot makes my toes hurt so bad I have to take them off . What a waste of good Paying money. Update Day after wearing these junk ! My feet and back never ever hurt so worse! People please watch out for Amazon fake reviews !

I bought these shoes running a little small in the first place so they were very snug at first fit, almost too snug. But that quickly changed after breaking them over a course of a couple weeks wearing them a bit each day. Now I couldnt be happier that I ordered a little small because they fit my feet perfectly and securely. Theyre super comfortable and have a hell of a traction. Totally waterproof too and they look so great. I was initially going to buy a cheaper pair of boots around $100 for hiking but got swayed by bad reviews over fit and waterproofing. I couldnt be happier that I forked a bit extra for these shoes because they are truly awesome and very light compared to any other shoe/boot Ive worn but still offering great protection.

Best shoes I’ve ever owned. I have flat feet and plantar fasciitis. I struggle with knee pain and foot pain. I bought these shoes to hike/walk with my dogs and they are so amazing that I wear them every day. The lacing style allows you to wear thin socks or thick socks if you need a little more warmth. The Gore-Tex keeps you warm and dry. I plan to buy more of these .
