I just turned 58. I lost my big-paying editor job long ago now. I had to wear ties and slacks. Now I cover high school sports, and while sometimes I wear top-siders and a collared shirt, I resort to wearing Chuck Taylors and black jeans to sports events. I stalk the sideline shooting photos of various sports, and the shoes never fail. Theyre like outdoor slippers. I spend a lot of time on my feet. And sure, I groan a lot now. But my feet dont hurt. The only time I switch out the footwear is for soccer when it gets so cold my feet turn to stone. So thumbs up.

I really like Converse because you can wear them with basically anything. I chose Navy because its a pretty neutral color. As you can see in the second picture, there are multiple glue spots, but this isnt a big problem at all, i just kinda scratched them off. One problem I noticed was that the box was a bit damaged and it looked as if it was opened before. The shoes were completely fine, only the box wasnt looking good Besides this, everything was perfect, the order even came earlier than expected.

These are not real Converse! I ordered these for my husband and two days after he started wearing them, they started turning white! We wondered if they were knockoffs, then read some of the reviews on here...and now I know they are. Im so mad we wasted $60 on these. Too bad I cant give 0 stars.

This is my second pair of chucks. They are comfortable, though it takes the extra second to tie them up instead of slipping on most other sneakers. The best thing about Chucks is when traveling. They fold almost completely flat so they dont take up a lot of room in luggage. The white rubber parts do get dirty quick, so you have to use sneaker cleaner weekly to not look like a slob

I only have one complaint about these shoes, they are way too big. My finance he only ever wears skater shoes( and his favorite are converse) well the pair he always wore were looking a bit worn...... Do I casually asked him what size were the shoes he was always wearing and he responded with what are you thinking of buying me??? To which I replied you are going too have to tell me to find out. He finally told me and that very night I bought him the exact shoes he always wear.... Same color/ same style/ same brand/ same size nd they were perfect until he put them on and they were huge.... Next time we are going someplace to try the shoes on first then buy them....
