Bizarrely inconsistent I have been looking for some comfortable walking shoes, and got a message from Amazon recommending these. They looked good and had good reviews, so I went ahead and ordered them. Unfortunately, they were small; narrow and short, so I ordered replacements one size larger. These shoes fit great and are super comfortable! My first day in them was heaven. When I put them on in the morning, though, I noticed something strange: The laces on one shoe were so short I could barely tie them. When I got home this evening, I took them out and measured them. One lace is over 5 inches shorter than the other! I like the shoes. Im going to keep them. But this company definitely has some Quality Control Problems!

So Ive been using these shoes pretty much daily for over a year and I just love them. Ive been so disappointed with other shoe brands in the past years, it just feels like quality is down the tube for the brands I used to wear for my casual comfort and tennis shoes (New Balance and ASICS were my previous choices). I like that these shoes work well in a pinch for when I need dress a little nicer but will be working on my feet all day. I work in both the photo and video world, and sometimes have to dress in dress pants and a button up for certain clients and situations. These shoes look nice enough that I can wear them and be infinitely more comfortable than if I were in dress shoes. Theyve been though a lot and I still love them. Rockport will have my future business if they keep this quality up.

I purchased these shoes in the hopes that my feet would stop being sore and after hearing positive things about "the brand" from my family. Unfortunately, it turns out that they were referencing two other brands and NOT Rockport, although my dad used to wear these. Anyway, I expected some sort of difference from the normal Nike/Adidas that I am accustom to... no such luck. I was willing to sacrifice the styles that I love so much in the other shoes if the promise of more comfortable feet was achieved. I find that standing for any length of time to be just as tiresome in these as in the others. The cushion of the shoe is not noticeably special in any way and in fact my feet seemed to be hotter in these than in my other shoes. Another thing I dont like besides the lack of comfort is the very short shoe laces... which makes it hard to tie a knot which will hold. The length of the laces in combination with the type (firm round vs flat) make it hard to tie a knot that doesnt work itself undone. In the end, Ill probably just have wasted money on these as Ive already switched back to my old sneakers. Its really a drag because the only way to really tell how a shoe is going to perform is to use it (upon which time returning it is not an option). Hopefully someone else

I have mortons toe, metatarsal pain and wide feet. Its difficult to find shoes that dont increase the foot, knee and back pain I experience every day. I got the wide version of these shoes and absolutely love them. They are a great fit for what I need. The are comfortable and very good looking. I was surprised by the price because I was going towards the $150^ price range trying to find a good shoe. I put a metatarsal pan on the insole and Ia crushing. These greatly reduced the pain in my body. I recommend them and will buy them again

Greetings! I went from Brooks Walking Addiction shoes to these, and I was hoping they would hold up through the brutal 5-8 miles of nonstop work on concrete with my job. Well after over a year of abuse, my Brooks finally gave up and went to the shoe store in the sky. I needed new shoes, but money was tight and I couldnt afford the Brooks, even though regular shoes do not last a month in my line of work. I went with these Rockports and held my breath while putting them on. Oh, hallelujah. They are actually super comfortable. Many of you have commented that they feel broken in as you put them on, and I can attest to that. They are very comfortable from the start. Now, I have had them about a month. But, my shoes still look brand new. I notice no visible wear on them even after the abuse I have already put them through. These shoes are also nice enough that I wore them to a funeral with a button-up and dress pants. Thus, they will work as dress shoes. The only con I can think of is the sole is not as thick as I would like for them to be. I walk my dog in these and we walk on gravel, and I can occasionally feel a gravel poke at my foot through my shoe, whereas on my Brooks I never felt that. I also feel as though some of the cushion has worn down, which is to be expected as much as I walk. They are still my preferred shoe. I abuse them, and they are holding up. If these can make it to tax return time, I will probably purchase two pairs. If not, I guess I will go back to Brooks. But so far these Rockports are giving Brooks a run for their money. Nice product, Rockport.
