This is my second Invisibelt product. My first was the skinny Invisibelt, and I wore it for four or more years before the plastic clasp wore out. When it did, I placed my order for this belt immediately. The Invisibelt really does a great job of giving you a smoother front line since the clasp lies flat and doesnt bulge out the front of your shirt, which with the longer knit tunics can be quite unsightly. The belt itself is sturdy, very easily adjustable, and durable. I bought the thicker belt this time in hopes that the larger clasp would last even longer. I wear this belt every time I leave the house in pants with belt loops. Its definitely not a belt you want to wear to be seen, but its really the best for helping create a smooth, sleek line.

First thing I noticed after removing the belt from the packaging was the overwhelming nauseating stench of the vinyl/plastic whatever this thing is made of. I let it air our for 5 days and it still smells too bad to wear. The second thing I noticed was how ridiculously overpriced this thing is. A strip of some flexible plastic material with a plastic clip for closure and a plastic ring to adjust the length. There cant be 50 cents worth of materials in this thing, and obviously very little labor. I feel sorry for the people working in the factory where this is made....breathing the fumes from this must be sickening at best, toxic at worst. Returning it... Dont buy!

Wore it on Sunday with lightweight cotton pants that are a little too loose in waist. Easy to adjust if you follow directions to adjust BEFORE you put in on. Stayed closed and easy to open. Buckle lays absolutely flat and holds in that little pokey triangle of fabric near the button that puts tiny holes in your knit shirts! I have the 1.5" and I did not find it stiff. There is no stretch to it. It was very comfortable, although I did slide the belt to one side so the buckle was a little off center. All in all, I recommend if you a) need to snug up a loose waistband or b) want to avoid poking tiny holes in your knit shirts.

I had an older version of this belt for years and I loved it. The exact same belt, according to my Amazon orders. I wore it all the time until I wore it out and the latch broke. I definitely got my moneys worth out of it, though, and was fine with buying a new one. However, this newest version was totally different. I remember the plastic being stiff when I first received my old one, but the slider for the size adjustment was absolutely not as bulky as it is now. The belt was still flat, but the slider left a huge bump where it sat on my side. A piece of this size absolutely defeats the purpose of having an invisible belt. I returned it.

Really enjoyed these belts over the past 4 or more years, however, I find the term "original" is confusing. Unfortunately these belts are nothing close to the first one I purchased which I believe is more of an "original". These belts are much heavier, thicker, and clasps larger than ever before, no longer "laying flat" as the description suggests. I have to turn the clasp a bit in order to put through loops and belt has less stretch and is uncomfortable. In the item photos online, notice belt loops are much larger than normal. In the photo attached, the bottom belt is my "original" (oldest), middle belt was purchased approx. a year ago, and top belt is current order. Still functional, but not happy with the new design.
