Got this shirt for gardening and yard work. I bought this same brand & style shirt in Maine while on vacation almost 10 years ago. Ive used it not only for hiking, but also gardening, yard work, and fishing. The 10 year old shirt is still in fantastic condition, even after extreme abuse in the garden, so I decided to finally get a 2nd one, so I always have one on hand. It protects against sun, black flies, mosquitoes & so far, ticks. It is light enough to wear in the summer & it dries quickly so you never feel uncomfortable. Its even fashionable to wear while camping. It washes & dries well. Dirt & grime come out out very easily. Seeing that Ive already gotten 10 years out of the 1st one, with NO signs of wear & tear, I think its a fantastic value!

I love these shirts and own several. They are terrific for travel - dont take up much space, easy to wash in a hotel sink, and dry in a heartbeat virtually wrinkle-free. The sizing does run a bit large - for reference I am 57", 36" bust, 27" waist and the S/P fits well. I do have one in a Med, which is a bit roomier for wearing over a t-shirt. They are very lightweight, ventilated, keep me cool under a hot sun and I appreciate the UV protection. I also prefer the snap closures - much easier to fasten than fiddling with the buttons on other models of sport shirts. The zippered side pockets are handy, though heavier items would make the shirt sag. The only reason I deduct one star is that they arrive packaged with one cuff turned up several times and secured with the internal tab, creating deep wrinkles that are very difficult to remove. Recommended low setting on iron does not seem adequate, yet I would hesitate to use a higher setting and chance melting the fabric! After several washings and drip drying on a hanger those wrinkles do eventually disappear. Fortunately packing in luggage does not create these deep wrinkles :) Great shirt!

I adore these cool, trim-looking shirts. I own at least seven and am rarely out of them in the summer. Ive even slept in them on train trips and when camping. The black is a dark, saturated color -- subtle and flattering. Here are a few notes or quibbles about these buttery, light-as-air shirts. *I wish the brand tag wasnt so obtrusive, or better yet, not visible. I feel the tag stands out the worst against these black shirts. If this top wasnt branded, I would also make them my office uniform in a heart beat. As is, I sometimes wear under cardigans, but the sweater has to be heavy enough that the tag on front doesnt show through. Ive toyed with the idea of removing it using a seam ripper, but havent been brave enough (or found a cheap enough shirt) to risk trying it yet. Im not sure the fine (though durable) material would withstand the removal without showing holes/pricks. *I adore the snap buttons. The fact that they match the shirt is part of what makes the shirt so trim/streamlined IMO. I wish that I had discovered these shirts (assuming they existed then) when I was nursing my kids. However, I would caution those purchasing for this use that the snaps come open VERY easily. Handy when sporting an infant in one arm and un-buttoning with another, but probably not ideal when nursing older babies or toddlers who like to tug clothing while they sup. A firm grab in the right spot can tear the shirt right open. However, if paired with enough confidence or a nursing cami, these would be a great toddler/older baby nursing option as well. *I wish that the length was longer, verging into CYA territory. Please, please, please. I in insist that my front and rear are comfortably covered when wearing with leggings/athletic tights, so making these shirts longer would allow me to wear them with all types of bottoms. *Strangely, I need a M in the sleeveless version and a L in the short and long-sleeved versions. No idea why, but I know its not just me because Ive seen other reviews reflecting this difference. I normally wear a M or S. *As a bonus, the back vent camouflages bra lines and bulges.

Bright, lightweight. Fits perfectly. All as described. Washes well. Took it on a boat trip to the Caribbean. Will definitely buy more.

I have almost every color. Things I really like are: lightweight, easy to wash and I hang dry, you really stay dry (and I tend to sweat alot and easily), the colors are really nice, roll up into a small ball (great when traveling), they are very complimentary in looks. I also like the snaps --when you roll up the sleeves they stay up well, i.e. do not unroll in places where the snap band isnt present. I am a curvy size 12/14 and the X-large fits great, the tailored fit is particularly nice without being snug at all. Now the BUT part ---- if you get the lighter colors // like yellow it is somewhat see through -- so I add a thin cami----which then + to the retaining of any sweat, not a big deal for me as I love these shirts.
