I studied all the details back and forth regarding this product before purchasing. Two buyers had also mentioned in previous reviews of this product here at Amazon that measurements were not as written, specifically. I decided to take a chance and found they were right. Bag is described here at Amazon as being 11 inches wide by 38 inches in length. In truth, based on my purchase, measurements are approx. 22 inches wide by 38-40 inches in length. This bag is larger than I had wanted. I do like this bag as it appears to be durable, strong for camping trips etc however I will not use it to carry groceries as I had wanted. This makes a great laundry bag if one has to walk to the laundromat. I will not be sending this bag back for this one reason only.

This is modeled after the military issue bags. But its a very old version of it. This is cotton canvas. The recent bags are polyester which has some water resistance, lighter weight and packs smaller when it’s empty. This bag needs to be washed like most other bags. Lots of black dye is removed on the first wash.

Recently used this bag for the first time on a trip to the Caribbean. It held 50 lbs worth of stuff and got there in one piece. So far im satisfied. My only complaint is that the black canvas shows dirt extremely quickly. I have a smilar travel bag in military green thats made of a strong nylon material (at least thats what I think the material is) that does not showcase dirt as much as this one.

Absolutely terrible. I ordered 3 for my daughter to use to head to college. One strap broke when we arrived to the airport, then the clip on the top of the bag(to close) also broke at the airport. Thank goodness we had zip ties with us. I dont know if we just received defective bags or they are truly that poor of quality. Very disappointed. As a parent sending her child internationally to college for the first time, I wanted quality and assurance that her stuff would arrive in one piece, im not sure that will happen. I should also add, were a military family and use seabags all the time, so we know quality. Very disappointed!

This is a very big bag. Great quality! I ordered the black one. I didnt want something high fashion like Calvin Klein or Michael Kors those expensive bags Im not in the military but I wanted a military-style bad that will last me a long time and this bag will do just that. The reason I ordered this type of baggage because I respect the military people that sacrifice for us so this is perfect for me Eventually plan to put my favorite band patches on this bag.
