This is a great looking bag, the insert makes a sizable but handy cross-body purse, and there are some really useful pockets on either end, plus the snap-button pocket in front (great for a phone and sunglasses, keys, etc). It’s the perfect size if you need a little more space but you don’t want an enormous bag. So that’s cool, but HOLY WOW IT STINKS. After reading a few of the other reviews before purchasing, I figured maybe a few reviewers were particularly sensitive to certain smells. Nope. This thing smells like death. BUT, it is a well-constructed leather-ish looking hobo bag for $30 bucks. I’m gonna stick it out for now. I currently have the bag and the insert in the freezer, each stuffed with a coffee filter full of baking soda. Hope to exorcise the evil outta there. Will update, hopefully with the news that this bag is no longer peeling the paint off my walls. **** Update: the smell is almost gone! This bag IS really well constructed; it has survived brutal over-stuffing and pretty rough wear from a recent trip, plus rainy streets and jammed subway rides.

Nice bag for the price. The measured dimensions are correct. The smaller bag comes with a belt style cross body strap that is not assembled. It has a zipper closure, small open pocket and zip pocket internally. The smaller bag is also lined. The larger bag has a snap closure and 3 external pockets as is shown in the pictures. While the images show use of the smaller bag as an organizer, I find that it might be inconvenient because of the structure. It is wider at the bottom than the top. The large bag is very spacious and would easily hold a tablet, small laptop, magazine, book or a small knitting/crochet project. The clasp lever on the larger bag strap does snag on knit fabrics. The larger bag strap measures approximately 22 inches not including the claps. The overall stitching looks ok. I have found a few long bind off threads. Time will tell if it holds up to wear. UPDATE: I have had this bag for over a year and it has held up extremely well. None of the threads have unraveled and the material is still flawless. I have used it consistently for the past 16 months.

First let me say I do like this bag. It was a good price and will be very functional. Having said that the description calling it "all leather" is not accurate. I work with leather every day and this at best is a bonded leather with PVC coating. So dont expect full grain leather. It is not. Still its a handsome bag and I will use it

I have fallen in love with this purse! Funny, when I first got it I wanted to return it...becuase it does have a very strong odor. Not sure why? It is like a chemical or gasoline type smell. Odd. I have sprayed it with perfume and febreeze and it has lessened. And now I love it! It just makes sense. Nice and big for work and everyday use. The smaller bag is perfect to keep inside to hold valuables or small items you want easy access to. I keep the cross body strap on the small bag and keep it inside the large bag, plenty of room in there for my wallet and essentials... ..and then I can just pull it out for a quick stop at the grocery store etc without having to bring the larger bag along. It really is ideal! Pics show what I mean if Im not making sense. Ha ha. Oh and the coffee color is beautiful! Very rich burgundy-ish brown color.

This was a truly pretty bag, arrived quickly and was all that was promised. However, it had a really strong chemical odor and I ended up returning it. I let it sit out for days and it never got better and even had to take it out of my bedroom at night because the smell was so bad. it was very disappointing because I really did like it. The company was very good about letting me send it back and clearly the odor isnt a problem for everyone since most other people have reviewed the purchase favorably.
