The price is basically unbeatable, the style is simple and garners compliments from people throughout the day. I previously purchased a light brown/reddish pair of these same shoes in a 10.5, but the toes were super tight, so I ordered these in an 11 and they fit very well. They felt extra comfortable upon first trying them on, and I was excited to wear them to work the next day. What I did not anticipate was the absolute worst calf and ankle pain Ive had since running track in high school 16 years ago. The first night, my legs were sore. The second night, I could barely walk. Im not even exaggerating here. I work in a low-key, small family business retail environment, so its not like Im doing anything physical. Im on my feet all day, but thats about it. I bought some insoles, which turned my $46.00 shoes into $60.00 shoes. They eliminated the ankle pain by raising my ankle up a bit over the stiff tongue, but the calf pain was worse that night. I wanted these to be my go to budget daily work shoes, but I think Ill have to spring for a bit more. But, they do look really good, so theres that.

I opened the box and POOW right up the nose. It is a formidable smell. I wore these shoes to work and people asked if I was around a smoker. These shoes smell! They fit as expected but got a tingling feeling from whatever these shoes are cured with. What a crazy experience.

I was concerned with purchasing these shoes, given that the comments seemed to be hit or miss, but Ive been pleasantly surprised. Ive had this pair for exactly a month and oh what a month it has been. To get dress shoes in my size (15) at only $40 and have them actually be decent has been such a joy. They look nice and shiny out of the box, and still have much the same look. I have not noticed a peculiar smell coming from them, something that seems to be common among poor reviews. The shoe isnt perfect though as Id say it feels a bit narrow on my pinky toe, but its certainly not an uncomfortable.fit. Id agree with another review that I read that suggested not ordering these if you walk a lot. If youve got several meetings across town then Id skip out on this pair, but if you drive to work and are not on your feet all day its hard to go wrong. I do have a large black scuff on the back, which is most likely from me twitching my foot against my chair leg, just thought it should be mentioned to help others avoid the same issue.

To begin with I was skeptical about these shoes due to the price, I have seen similar styles at department stores for three times the price so as you can imagine I wasnt sold on a $30 pair of dress shoes. However in the brief amount of time I have owned and worn these I have been highly impressed. I have less than 50 miles of walking time in on these shoes so I cant speak to durability but they do look great and are very comfortable. The only complaint I have is with the lacing. I re-laced mine and had issues fitting the lace through one of the bottom holes, but a little persuasion with a pocket knife and we are good to go. Over all I do recommend these shoes.

Ive had this pair of shoes now for about a month and have been wearing them nearly every day. They fit as expected. As other reviewers have noted, the soles of the shoes are very slippery when they are brand-new. However, after wearing them around outside for a day or two, they get all scratched up and are therefore not slippery anymore. As with all new shoes, one needs to wear them for four or five days in order for them to get broken in and stretched. The shoes are super comfortable and, as I mentioned, I have been wearing them nearly every day for 8 to 10 hours each day. I just bought another pair of the same shoe in a different color – thats how much I enjoy them! Some people have complained about the strong smell when they take the shoes out of the package for the first time. Yes, there is an odor that is typical of most new shoes. However, I have found that after about a week or so, the odor dissipates.
