While I love the look and fit of these boots, they are not sturdy at all. After only 4 months, the side of the boot was already cracking in a few places (see photos). One of the more annoying issues was that every time you take your foot out of the boot, the foot pad comes out. The covering on the foot pad also came off, and the interior of the boot appears to have water stains. Im not sure how that happened, since I dont walk in water, I only use these to clean out an animal pen. These boots are definitely not waterproof, but seem to be water resistant...until the sides crack. Having said this, because I love the fit, I will order one more pair and see how they hold up. Hoping my next pair lasts longer.

Rainboots looks nice but too small. Make sure you order a size up (since they dont come in half size increments.). Amazon will not replace the rainboots in a different size; they would process a return and you need to purchase again hoping the price is the same. Otherwise, the tone is suck it up and pay for the higher price since the price went up since I purchased the item 3 days ago; or wait until the price goes down again.

I bought three different "cute" rain boots to try: 1) Capelli New York Ladies Spring Floral Printed Rain Boots Navy Combo 7 2) Western Chief Womens Waterproof Printed Tall Rain Boot, Simple dot Navy, 7 M US 3) NORTY - Womens Hurricane Wellie Printed Floral Hi-Calf Rain Boot, Blue 40715-7B(M) US The winner for comfort and fit was the Capelli New York boot, hands down. These have a soft, supportive footbed that feels almost like memory foam. They fit true to size, snug enough to not flop around as I walked, but with space for warm socks if I needed them. They also hugged my calves closely enough that I wasnt as worried about them filling with water! The NORTY boots were a close second. These had an overall similar fit to the Capelli boots, but werent quite as squishy and comfortable in the footbed. Since they were similar prices and I liked the Capelli pattern better, I decided to keep the Capelli boots. But I could easily have gone with the NORTY boots if Id liked the pattern better, etc. The Western Chief boots were about $10 cheaper and felt it. There was almost no support in the footbed and they fit very wide around my calves. They also felt overall larger - I would probably go down at least a half-size if I were to order them again. All of these items meant they were less comfortable and tended to "flop about" as I tried to walk in them. I cant speak to any of their waterproof-ness, but they were all made of thick rubber, which I imagine will keep feet dry unless water comes in the top! Im looking forward to using my Capelli boots, as we have had an unusually rainy spring this year.

I normally wear a size 8 medium shoe, but I ordered a 9 in these because I wanted to wear heavy socks with them. They fit a bit large, but I expected that and I had rather them be a little large rather than too small. Rather than buying them to use in the rain I really purchased them so that I can go out in my back yard AFTER a rain. I had bad drainage and paid quite a bit to have shallow drainage ditches put in at the edges of my yard and lined with large rocks. I have to go check occasionally to be sure leaves havent piled up in my drainage and stopped proper water flow. Anyway, Ive only used them once so far but they were just great. The soles a nice and heavy and the tops are large and loose enough that I can easily tuck my pant legs into the top of the boot. Im very pleased with this purchase.

I love the rubber boots. I wear a size 6 M. These seem a little large, even with socks. I have skinny legs. I put these in last buckle hole. There’s plenty of room to stuff my pants legs inside boot. Only worn in house a little while. I bought these for gardening. Too cold at present time for me to do that, but expect in the next few weeks to try them out in the yard. I read so many different reviews I grew dizzy!! Some said too large, others too small, some said perfect!! I just took a chance when I grew tired of going from one company to the next and comparing. The true test will come when I go outside and actually use them for what I intended, gardening. At present time I would say I’m very pleased. The polka dots are so cute!! I’m not young anymore, but I still like cute things. I believe I will look stylish preforming some dirty work!! Also, I will feel safer! Did I mention I’m deathly afraid of snakes?!!! That’s the true reason I bought them. They come up higher than many others!! I’m from the South, snakes like my yard, or at least I imagine that they do!!!!
