Having worn a number of Sperry and LL Bean boat shoes in the past, I can honestly say this is my new all-time favorite pair. I was looking for a pair of boat shoes with that classic look (not the modern, overdone ones like the Sperry Billfish), but with a comfortable sole that I can stand/walk all day in. To top it off, I have rather wide feet, so finding a perfect fit is never easy. These Perths have an incredibly comfortable sole with decent arch support. I can wear them at my standing desk all day and not feel flat-footed or sore in the heels after work, and can walk around town without feeling like Im barefoot. The leather is of very good quality, and it took very little time to break them in, even going sockless my first time wearing them. Im a true fan now, and will absolutely buy another pair once I wear these out -- which may be a long while, as they seem very sturdy and well constructed.

As other reviewers have mention, these are very comfortable and stylish - "Made in Indonesia" First, I would like to say: No shoe is perfect for everyone and every manufacturer has a variation in size, one brand a size 12 might fit perfectly and another a size 13 - just be flexible. The second I saw the shoes, I knew they were of good quality and much better than my Sperrys. The Toe Box of the shoe is fairly wide which should allow for more comfort on hot days. The color is solid navy blue with hints of khaki through the stitching, shoe laces and foam padding between the sole and the shoe. There is arch support and the insole rides curved up the shoe at the heel in order to keep your heel in place and the design is the same at the arch. I suppose the insole could be replaced when worn-out, but they seem to be glued into place. Hope you enjoy the shoe as much as I have been the past few hours.

These are a great pair of boat shoes. I previously had a pair of Rockports from years ago that I recently got rid of due to issues not related to wear and tear and knew that Id get another pair. They run a little larger than some shoes, so while I wear a 9 for some brands, Im an 8.5 for these. Knowing this, they fit perfectly. Since I have a bit of a wide foot, I untied them, put them on, and then retied them. Overall a nice fit, comfortable, and just as good on an hour long walk as they are just heading to the mailbox. For a casual summer shoe, I highly recommend these.

Terrific boat shoes. Very well made with a strudy counter and heel seat. These replace a pair of mephistos that I had for many years and are just as good at one third the price. Mephistos are now made in Turkey and are just not the same quality as they used to be. Funny thing; I went to a Rockport store and they did not have these. The sales person said that this model is a year and a half old and only on line. I bought another style at the store, and while they are nice, this style I purchased on Amazon is a better shoe. I am very happy with this purchase

I wear a 12 4E in New Balance tennis shoes. That being said I bought a blue pair in 12 2E and they are perfect when I wear them with no socks. I also bought a pair in brown at are a 12 3E, and they are a tad too wide, but I still like them..I can easily wear the 3E with thicker socks and be fine...the 3E is a tad loose with no socks, so I just lace them a little tighter. I think these are more comfortable than Topsiders. Much better quality for sure. You know how Topsiders have very flat soles...kind of like karate shoes? Not that thats bad, but these have just a little better support while still feeling like a boat shoe.
