I’ve bought multiple pairs of these same boots. I’ve used them every work day of the past 7 or 8 years and they are very comfortable and durable. Can’t go wrong with these boots. I use them so much that the insoles wear out but the nice thing is you can buy new insoles to protect your feet and get more mileage from your boots. Recommend theses to anyone looking for comfortable and safe(steel toes) boots.

I wanted a pair of shoes that were comfortable, weather proof, and sturdy for motorcycle. Basically I wanted one shoe for everything. While these shouldnt be a replacement for motorcycle boots, its a risk Im willing to take and these work well for me - leather ensures dry feet, steel toe help with stubborn shift levers, and subdued look makes it professional enough for work. Took these on vacation, which included a lot of walking - I was comfortable whether in Manhattan New York, or the top of Mt. Washington.

You must buy the "right" size. Ive always liked this shoe for its moderate price and and relatively light weight. Bought several pairs in this style over time from a local brick and mortar specialty store and every time the sales person fitted me for my purchase. Id have to convince myself that thered be some short period of discomfort while the shoes broke in. Wrong. I recently instead purchased these Timberland Pro Tiitan oxfords from a Amazon marketplace vendor and I went size up and to the widest available XW (3e) width. Zero break in time. I have since purchased another pair of these same work shoes from Amazon.com direct and am thrilled with the discomfort-free results. I work and walk/run/climb in an industrial environment that varies from gravel to concrete to steel and one draw back to the comfort of these work shoes is durability. I can cover from 3 to 9 miles a day in these shoes and the soft soles reflect the wear and tear. My goal is zero-pain comfort. If I have to buy new work shoes every 3-6 months because I kill the outsoles its worth it.

So the pictures show that this shoe has a smooth leather finish. When I received it the finish was more like the pimples on a football. I was extremely disappointed. The shoe seems to be of good construction but run large by about a half size. I would get a smaller size but I absolutely hate the pimpled finish and prefer a smooth finish. If theres that option, I would love to know.

Im an engineer who occasionally visits the shop and outside plants. I basically where these everywhere: office, shop, camping, out to dinner, etc. These are my third pair of these shoes. I used to buy them locally at Work World, but they no longer carry them. I accidentally ordered the Timberland PRO Mens Titan Comp Toe Oxford Black Work Shoe and had to return them. They are very similar, but the Work Shoe is less of a boot (so they feel less secure on the ankle) and do not have the metal grommets for the laces as these do. My first pair were replaced because after two years I marred the toes so much that my wife hated them. The second pair split on the right sole after two years. The sole split is a common failure point as Ive noticed in other reviews. These are definitely made differently than my last two pairs, but they are the same design/materials. I would suspect that a different manufacturing facility is making these now and small adjustments were made to accommodate new equipment and/or reduce cost. The toes do mar very easily. So dont expect them to look great for very long. A little polish helps, but the leather will chip. No amount of polish will remove the chipped leather. I already have a small tear on the left shoe after two weeks. Also, the insoles will start falling apart after a year. Mine usually have holes where the toes are. These can be replaced, but Ive never bothered since the comfort did not diminish much and the only result was a few torn socks. These will set off a metal detector. When you are going through an international airport that does not require you to remove you shoes, remove them anyways.
